Easter Eggs and Such

BatesRewards Easter Egg hunt Sunday; That Awesome Taco Truck returns Saturday!

There are differing versions on the origins of Easter eggs.  The stories of how looking for colored eggs on Easter Sunday came about are many and widely varied.  I will make no attempt to sort through those beginnings.   However, I am pretty sure we both can agree on the fact that there is no actual Easter Bunny laying the eggs… especially the plastic ones.

As kids, many of us grew up looking forward to the annual Sunday afternoon event: The Easter Egg Hunt.  My recollections as a child are of the dyed hardboiled-eggs.  I remember my mom sometimes using PAAS egg dying kits, but more often than not, simply dying them using food coloring.

As a kid, you can only eat so many colored hardboiled-eggs.  That is where the plastic eggs came into existence.  Inside of those plastic trophies were chocolates and more!  This Sunday, you get your chance to relive your past, hopefully only the happy part.  We are having an Easter egg hunt from Noon until 4pm closing.  Hidden about the nursery will be 72 sealed colored plastic Easter Eggs.  Now read carefully

You may redeem only ONE You must not open it: You must present egg to our authorized checkout personnel, they will open your egg to reveal your prize.  Hidden among the flora are 4 golden eggs; neither laid by Easter Bunny nor golden goose. Prizes range from EarthMix® bagged product giveaways to percent discount off of a single item, or discounting your entire purchase! All prizes must be redeemed during business hours (Between noon and 4pm) on Easter Sunday. That means before noon, and after 4pm, there will be no redemption of eggs; an Easter egg coupon cannot be redeemed in conjunction with any other promotion. This event is for BatesRewards members only, ONE per household. Pre-opened eggs are invalid; handle with care…

If you can’t make it on Sunday, That Awesome Taco Truck makes an encore appearance on Saturday from 10:30a – 2p, or until he runs out…
