The Official Start of Summer

Memorial Day Hours: 9am-Noon! The At Home Show; Saturdays 8-9a on YouTube!

It’s official: The start of summer is here. That is what we all associate with Memorial Day. Okay, perhaps all is a bit broad. I would say it is more accurate to describe it, as most believe this to be the official start of summer. Perhaps most is even a bit presumptuous, after all; I have done no statistical analysis to back up my belief. Let me say that many, although not having been surveyed, hold to the belief that Memorial Day weekend signals the beginning of summer. Well… at least some feel that way.

Surely there exists around us, a few who are delighted at the thought of Memorial Day arriving; for it surely means summer cannot be far off. I have to believe, there exists within the innermost musings of some mortal amongst us, a passing thought as to the coincidental juxtaposition that Memorial Day presents in its precedence of the summer solstice. Perhaps it's just me.

Now that we've cleared that up, it's time to plan for the weekend. Before you start getting the boat ready for the lake, it's just possible there are a few details around the garden that need some attention. As we roll through the latter part of spring, we continue to bring in selections for your garden. We have what you're in need of!

Shop our entire collection online by clicking here; and we deliver! We are perpetually stocked with annuals, perennials and anything else your heart desires.

If you’re looking for a beautiful native tree whether for blooms, fall color, or fruiting capabilities, consider a serviceberry. When you’re hiking through the woods, from now ‘til early June, take the time to seek out these delectable berries, or grow your own by clicking here.

Special hours on Memorial Day: We will be open Sunday Noon until 4. We will be open Memorial Day from 9 AM until Noon. Beginning Tuesday, we will again be open from 9 AM until 4 PM through Saturday.
