SCIENTIFIC NAME: Malus ‘Golden Delicious’--COMMON NAME: Apple-- GARDEN SIZE: 12-15 ft. x 8-10 ft.-- USDA ZONE: 4-9-- EXPOSURE: Full Sun-- WATER & SOIL: Loamy & well drained soil-- HABIT (FORM): Deciduous, Semi-dwarf-- BLOOM TIME: Midseason season (Spring)-- HARVEST TIME: September— FRUIT: Large and Yellow-green skin; Crisp, juicy & sweet-- POLLINATION: Self-pollinating. Other potential pollinizers are Red Delicious, Honeycrisp, Pink Lady and other midseason bloomers (Except Gala)— CARE: Prune when dormant. Watersprouts can be removed in June/July; Pre-Bloom Spray- dormant oils as well as fungicides for scab, rusts, mildews and other diseases, plus insecticides for early season insect control; Bloom Sprays-Fireblight on apples require special sprays during blossom.
