I don’t know if you’ve noticed or not, but it has been raining.  It is unclear whether the start of summer, escorted in with rain, comes with any folklore related foreboding, but it is wet.  Rain is a good thing.  It is a necessary part of life. In the words of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, “The best thing one can do when it’s raining is let it rain.” A personal favorite of mine, a bit closer to home, is the songwriting legend Roger Miller’s quote, “Some people walk in the rain, others just get wet.”
