Serving the mid-South since 1998, “The At Home Show with Josh Cary and David Bates”
It is my honor to present to you: Fab Feb; better known as February. While it is true that winter actually ends in March, meteorologically speaking, February marks the last month of winter in the northern hemisphere. It also marks the last month of summer in the southern hemisphere.
We have actually had real winter this January past. We have had several nights in the lower digit range. We have had actual frozen precipitation on more than one occasion. We have experienced real wind-chill. I have heard, more than a few, express concern about frozen plants. At Bates Nursery, we strive to not only provide you with the best plants and soils for gardening success, but we diligently put forth information to help you understand your garden better: Bates Nursery Botanical Boot Camp.
Fab Feb can be a challenging month. While the days grow ever longer and the temperatures increasingly milder, old man winter has yet to fully release his grip. No doubt we will still have an unwelcome visit (or two) from that cold, gray and frozen nemesis from the north. It is assuring to know that the worst of winter is likely past and the emergence of green growth will soon return. You can hear the anticipation in everyone’s voices as we collectively speak fondly of spring’s return.
We have yet another lively interactive, “how-to”: The At Home Show with Josh Cary and David Bates. We are just a couple of ‘radio guys’, now on video. This Saturday marks a double anniversary for Josh and me. It is true that we have now been broadcasting from “The GreenRoom” for nearly two years. What is also true is that this Saturday also marks our 24th anniversary of doing our show together. Our expanded cast now includes: Tyler, Caroline, and Austin. We’re ‘On-Set’ every Saturday!
Connect with us via Facebook or Instagram on the show’s pages or via Bates Nursery Facebookor Instagram pages. We answer your questions live: Saturdays 8am!
