COMMON NAME: Uptick™ Yellow & Red Tickseed

GARDEN SIZE: 12 - 14 inches tall x 12 - 14 inches wide

GROWTH RATE: Moderate

USDA ZONE: Hardy in zones 4 - 9

EXPOSURE: Full Sun

WATER & SOIL: Prefers well-drained soil with average water requirements.

HABIT (FORM): Mounded

FOLIAGE: Green

FLOWERS: Sunny yellow blooms with dark red centers. Blooms in early-late summer.

PLANT ORIGIN: Hybrid

WILDLIFE SUPPORT: Supports native bees, lepidoptera (moths and butterflies), and birds (especially finches). Deer and rabbit resistant.

FERTILIZING: Use a root stimulant or 4-3-3 fertilizer during initial planting. Feed lightly in late winter or early spring with compost or organic fertilizer.

PRUNING: Cut back to just above soil level in early spring. Leave seedheads in place over fall and winter to support wildlife. Deadheading promotes continuous blooming.
