Home / #1 Aquilegia canadensis/ Red Wild Columbine Native (TN)
Distinctive downward-pointing bright red and yellow flowers sit atop 2' tall branching stems. The elongated tube structures on the backs of the flowers attract pollinators like hummingbirds and long-tongued insects. The three-lobed leaves are attractive as foliage when the flowers aren't blooming. This perennial seeds each year, and will quickly spread.
Columbine is native to open woodlands, and will do well in partial shade and along wooded borders.
