Snowdrop Anemone

Anemone sylvestris is a smaller anemone about 1' to 1 1/2' tall and wide. It has fragrant, white, nodding flowers with bright yellow stamens. The blue-green leaves are palmate and the foliage forms lush, spreading mounds. It spreads slowly by rhizomes in favorable situations. Anemone sylvestris is excellent for areas with morning sun and afternoon shade, and will bloom in the spring and again in the fall if it likes where it is.

Bloom Period: Spring and Fall

Growth Habit: Mounding, spreading.

Cultural Requirements:
Sun Exposure: Sun (morning) to Part Shade
Soil: Moist, well drained, organically rich. Drought or wet winters can be harmful.
